Vietnamese law enforcement agencies have recently cracked down on large-scale smuggling cases to ensure market regulations, seizing 5,500 packs of illegally imported cigarettes.
According to a congthuong report, law enforcement agencies across Vietnam have developed an end-of-year plan to crackdown on smuggling following guidance from the government, the National Steering Committee 389, and the Ministry of Trade. The plan aims to ensure the standardization of market operations.
Law enforcement agencies recently cracked down on a series of large-scale smuggling cases, including the smuggling of fireworks, a significant quantity of cigarettes of unknown origin, and a substantial amount of illegally imported foreign tobacco. In total, 5,500 packages of illegally imported tobacco were confiscated.
