Vietnamese Police Seize 7,866 Smuggled E-cigarettes in Chain Store Raid

Vietnamese authorities seize over 7,800 smuggled e-cigarettes worth 300,000 RMB from a chain store in Da Nang city.

According to a report by Antv on November 2nd, the police in Da Nang, Vietnam, in collaboration with the Department of Cybersecurity and High-tech Crime Prevention, have cracked down on a chain of stores specializing in smuggling e-cigarettes. The total value of the seized goods involved exceeded 1 billion Vietnamese dong (equivalent to approximately 300,000 Chinese yuan).

The chain store, owned by 41-year-old Phùng Xuân Anh, was found with a total of 7,866 smuggled e-cigarettes across its five locations. Anh failed to provide proper documentation for the origin of these items. The police have seized the goods and are conducting an investigation in accordance with relevant regulations.
