Hanoi city government aims to reduce smoking by 2030 to lower tobacco-related death rates. Five schools have joined in.
According to a recent report from Vietnamnet, the Hanoi city government has recently announced a plan aimed at reducing the number of smokers by 2030, with the goal of lowering disease and death rates associated with tobacco use.
The specific objectives include reducing the percentage of male smokers aged 15 and above to below 39% and reducing the percentage of female smokers aged 15 and above to below 1.4% by the years 2023-2025.
Meanwhile, five high schools in Hanoi, namely Chương Dương High School, Trưng Vương High School, Kim Liên High School, have taken action in response to the extracurricular activity with the theme of “Eliminating E-cigarettes on campus”.
