According to Orleanshub on October 25th, the Orleans Police Department in the United States will once again participate in the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Law enforcement officials will collect unused medications, sharp objects, pet medications, and e-cigarette devices (e-cigarette devices must have the batteries removed).
This event is a joint effort between the Drug Enforcement Administration of the United States Department of Justice and the Orleans Police Department.
The recycling campaign has provided the public with an excellent opportunity to safely and properly dispose of unwanted and/or expired medications and sharp objects. Such campaigns significantly reduce the risk of prescription drugs being misused or abused, while also raising awareness among the public about this crucial public health issue.
