According to a report by US media outlet NAI500 on November 8th, voters in the state of Ohio have approved a ballot initiative to legalize recreational marijuana, making it the 24th state (excluding Washington D.C.) to adopt such legislation.
According to the proposal, residents in the state who are 21 years old or older will be allowed to consume, cultivate, or sell marijuana within the regulations and taxation framework established by the state government.
According to The Washington Post, a new law will come into effect on December 7, 2023.
