In recent days, according to a report from Telemundochicago, a new law in the state of Illinois in the United States will come into effect on January 1, 2024, prohibiting the use of e-cigarettes and other electronic vaping devices in public places.
According to the provisions of HB 1540, these devices will be added to the list of items prohibited for indoor public use under the Smoke Free Illinois Act, which was first legislated in 2008.
According to this law, electronic smoking devices will also be prohibited within a 15-foot radius of public entrances.
