Kazakhstan Government Proposes Ban on E-Cigarette Sales
Kazakhstan’s Health Ministry proposes banning the sale and usage of e-cigarettes to protect public health and pedestrians.

According to a report by Kazinform on November 27th, Rosalina Ermekpaeva, the head of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Health’s Committee on Health and Epidemiology, has stated that the country’s Ministry of Health recommends banning the sale and use of e-cigarettes.

This decision aims to protect the health of citizens and prevent potential threats posed by nicotine products to pedestrians and non-smokers.

Currently, the department has formulated a bill to revise the “Regulations,” which includes regulations prohibiting the sale, display, and public exhibition of tobacco products (including e-cigarettes with or without nicotine) to individuals under the age of 21, with the aim of prohibiting the circulation of e-cigarettes. The bill is currently under consideration in the lower house of parliament.
