On November 13th, according to Colombian news website Semana, the Colombian Senate voted against a legislative initiative proposed by Juan Carlos Losada, representative of the Liberal Party, which aimed to regulate the behavior of adult citizens in Colombia regarding the use of marijuana.
The motion proposed by Liberal Party Senator Karina Espinosa to archive the regulations outlined by Losada has been approved by the Senate plenary session.
In the final voting results, opponents of regulating marijuana use emerged victorious with a margin of 46 votes to 40.
