The Scottish Trading Standards Department will crack down on retailers selling tobacco and e-cigarette products to under-18s.

On December 21st, according to Scottish media outlet Scotsman, the Trading Standards Council of Aberdeenshire Council in Scotland has emphasized that it will not tolerate retailers illegally selling tobacco and nicotine e-cigarette products to underage teenagers who are under 18 years old.

In this pressure crackdown operation, the trading standards department of the Aberdeen County Council will take serious action against any retailer involved in illegal activities. The department has stated that if any non-compliant businesses are found, they will be required to immediately halt the sale of such products and face appropriate legal penalties.

In Aberdeenshire, it is legally prohibited to sell tobacco and e-cigarette products to individuals under the age of 18. The Trading Standards Bureau urges all retailers and customers to strictly comply with this regulation in order to safeguard the health and well-being of young people.

The Trade Standards Bureau has cited the impact on the health of adolescents as the reason for continuing to investigate and prohibit the sale of such products to minors.
