Thailand’s Disease Control Bureau issues warning that e-cigarette use may increase depression risk by 2.39 times and worsen existing mental health issues.

The Thai Department of Disease Control issued a statement on November 25, warning that the use of e-cigarettes may increase the risk of depression symptoms in consumers by up to 2.39 times, exacerbating existing mental health issues. Nongkorn, the acting director of the Department of Disease Control, stated that e-cigarettes may also pose harm to various parts of the body, including the respiratory system and lungs, the cardiovascular system, and the nervous system and brain.
