According to reports from Jateng, the government of Kudus Regency in Central Java, Indonesia recently held a promotional campaign on tax regulations, primarily targeting officials responsible for safeguarding security and public order.
The main purpose of the event is to provide the public with in-depth education and increase their awareness of tax regulations, particularly tobacco taxes and illegal tobacco, in order to assist the government in combating illegal tobacco. Yusi Sasepti, Director of the Communications and Information Services Department in Kudus County, introduced other project information related to tax regulation promotion by the Kudus County government during her speech at the Kudus County Council Chamber.
According to Penanggungan, the region is projected to receive a tobacco tax revenue of 36.216 billion rupees in 2023. These funds will be utilized across various sectors including public welfare, law enforcement, and healthcare, as well as for promotional activities aimed at encouraging public assistance in the government’s efforts to combat illegal tobacco.
